Danish organisation North has announced the arrival of Graham Pitt as its Head of Esports Operations.
Pitt will be responsible for “numerous strategic” operations, as well as “practical tasks” relating to its esports efforts.
Christopher Håkonsson, CEO of North discussed the hire in a release: “We’re looking to establish a permanent sporting team consisting of Graham Pitt and a dedicated professional from the absolute elite, who will be an integral part of the player’s daily routine. As we go forward, North should compete among the top teams in all esport titles that we compete in.”
Pitt joins North with plenty of experience under his belt. Serving as Director of Esports Operations for BLAST Pro Series for the past three years, he has also spent time at Multiplay and ESL.
North also announced that Jonas Svendsen would be leaving the organisation to work at Fortnite developer Epic Games.
Leaving his role as Head of Esports for the organisation, Svendsen commented: “Thanks is a tiny word to the great people I have had the chance to meet and work within Esports, and I am so grateful that I got to experience the competitive side of gaming once again.”
In August, North entered a partnership with Sennheiser. Earlier in the year, it joined forces with both Pinnacle and We Are Nations
