Ahead of beginning of its second season, the ePremier League (ePL) has revealed that it will indeed have a prize pool.
The FIFA 20 competition will have a £40,000 prize pool, with the winner of the finals taking home £20,000. The runner-up of the competition will come away with £10,000 and the runners-up of each console final will receive £5,000.
Online qualification for the upcoming season begins on December 2nd, with players having the opportunity to represent a Premier Leagueclub in both the real and virtual world.
Fnatic player Donovan “Tekkz” Hunt was crowned the inaugural ePremier League champion while representing Liverpool FC. The finals of the tournament was broadcast across the likes of Sky Sports, the official Twitch channel of EA Sports FIFA, and the Facebook Watch channel of the Premier League.
After a (seemingly) successful operation during its first season, UK-based tournament organiser Gfinity will remain as the operator of the competition.
