The organizers of PGS 2020 have decided to postpone the holding of the event scheduled for June 17 and 18 and set a new date of August 12 and 13, 2020 as a consequence of the crisis that is causing the coronavirus
The whole world in recent months has been experiencing a very critical situation due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
Many governments have applied extreme measures in an attempt to curb the transmission and spread of this virus. In Peru, the government decided to suspend classes in colleges and universities and recommended that all crowded meetings and events be suspended.
Following these recommendations and with the aim of guaranteeing maximum safety and quality to PGS participants, the organization decided to postpone the show until 12 and 13 August this year with the hope that, at that point, many of the concerns unanswered have been resolved and / or treated and things will return to somehow normal.
Here is what the organizers said:
“We also know that due to this issue, many of the companies could have problems with receiving machines, equipment and accessories which originate in the Asian region. Additionally, travel by many would also be problematic with the current situation as it is and the Peruvian government requiring all visitors arriving from Europe to quarantine for a period of 15 days. This of course would lead to cancellations by many for the event planned for June. For this reason and to ensure maximum attendance we have decided to make the decision to postpone until August”.
