The Italian Federation, following the Decree of the President of Ministers, extend the suspension of its championships until June 14.
The news was already on the air, being in fact already announced in the Prime Minister’s Decree of May 17 signed by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, but now the football institutions are also taking note of it: the Serie A championship will not resume until at least June 14.
The date of Sunday 13, indicated for some time as the most probable due to the expected restart of the tournament blocked by March 8 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, will not be the “historical” one in which the ball will roll again, because the FIGC, through an official press release, recognized the content of the decree: the federal president Gabriele Gravina has in fact decided to suspend all football sports competitions until June 14, 2020.
At this point the most probable date for the resumption of Serie A could be Sunday 20 June or Wednesday 17 in the case of midweeks: the race against time to respect the date of August 2 imposed by UEFA to end the national tournaments is that to depart .
