Following two weeks of XFL play, three winless teams remain. Two will meet on Saturday, as the Seattle Sea Dragons (0-2) visit the Vegas Vipers (0-2).
Winless Teams Collide
Both offenses will be looking for breakthroughs as neither has eclipsed 20 points.
The Sea Dragons continue to deal with an up-and-down offense and are 0-2 against the spread (ATS). The Vipers are 1-1 ATS and come off a putrid 18-6 loss against the D.C. Defenders. Which squad will grab its first win?

Sea Dragons Dragged Down by Turnovers
One trend is clear in the XFL – don’t expect a lot of scoring. The best teams have the best defenses. Seattle’s offense had hype, led by quarterback Ben DiNucci and wide receiver Josh Gordon. It has yet to meet expectations.
The problem has been quarterback play. Jahcour Pearson has emerged as the league’s top wide receiver with 16 receptions and 173 receiving yards in two games. Plus, the run game is fourth at 4.1 yards per carry. DiNucci simply cannot take care of the ball.
At times, the Sea Dragons have moved the ball with ease and look like a well-oiled machine. Then, DiNucci will follow the impressive drive with a bonehead decision. He must cut the turnovers, especially when his surrounding cast is performing well.
Linebacker Tuzar Skipper has been the bright spot of the defense and comes off four tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. He will be a big piece of applying pressure on Vegas.
Vipers’ Offense Lacks Bite?
Perhaps the Vipers’ biggest problem is their ineffective run game. Vegas ranks last with 115 rushing yards through two games. Also, the run game is getting a first down on only 5.7% of carries – the second-worst mark is the Arlington Renegades at 12%.
This is setting quarterbacks Luis Perez and Brett Hundley up for failure. Perez had his chance in Week 1 and collapsed in the second half with turnovers. Hundley got most of the snaps in Week 2, and like with Perez, turnovers were a problem. Hundley had a fumble in the second half in the 18-6 loss and totaled only 98 passing yards.
Overall, this is a dysfunctional offense. The Vipers have not settled on a starting quarterback and the run game is the worst in the XFL. It’s not like the unit lacks talent. The wide receiving corps features several former NFL players, like Martavius Bryant and Geronimo Allison.
Sea Dragons vs Vipers Head-to-Head
Vegas is a new host city in the XFL, as the Vipers were located in Tampa Bay in the 2020 season. During the short-lived 2020 season, the Sea Dragons defeated the Vipers 17-9.

Worth Betting ATS?
XFL odds list the Sea Dragons as three-point favorites (-110). Seattle failed to cover as favorites last week against the St. Louis Battlehawks. However, look for the Sea Dragons to get it done this week.
Road teams won three of four games last week. Seattle’s offense is still putting up numbers. Vegas’ offense cannot keep up. The Sea Dragons could also avoid turnovers by running the ball more often. They averaged 4.9 yards per carry last week, and the Vipers allowed 229 rushing yards in Week 2.

Worth Betting on the Totals?
The totals have been tricky for the XFL. Nearly every game has totaled around 35 to 40 points. With the projected total at 38, avoid this bet.
